Vitamin Spray

Has anyone used that Flukers vitamin spray with electrolytes? My male veiled's skin looks ashy. He just shed about 3 weeks ago, but his skin looks as though it's dry. I do keep him hydrated and even give him a warm showering once a week if not once every two weeks. I mist his cage well... but if i look closely at his skin.. .it looks as though it's dry water (that transparent white) between the bumps on his skin... That's the best As I could describe it. I don't know if that's something to worry about... but if it is.. i was considering using that vitamin spray on him as it has vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes that i'm assuming might be healthy for his skin.

Hmm.. Nevermind, The vitaspray thing... well it's called Liquid Vitamin and it's not something you spray on your chameleons. I was looking for something that i might be able to spray onto the chameleons skin.

Stick with showers.......

Yeah, that spray is great, but not for the skin or chameleons in general. I spray that stuff on my iguana's salads and the chopped mice I feed my tree monitors. Not good for chameleon food though. Stick with the showers and try to boost the overall humidity in the cage. What is he eating and what gut load do you use?

How come it's not good for chameleon food? I was thinking you could spray the crickets or other insects with it and then dust them. The overall humidity is in the 65s.

can you spray calcium on a chameleon? would you want to spray it on your chameleon?

I already corrected myself on that. haha. I thought it was something you would spray on your reptile since it was on the shelf along with other sprays for cages and tanks along with that e-z shed spray... oh well...

Chameleons.......

I don't use the spray with chameleons because the powdered supplements seem to have been used with chams successfully for years. I like using things that I know have worked well for others. I'm also not sure how to adjust my dusting routine for the inclusion of another source of vitamins. I don't want to overdose the chams. The spray works great for my iguanas and tree monitors. The powdered supplements are a pain to use on sticky things like salads and chopped mice. It's also doesn't look very appetizing the way it clumps up on moist things.
