ok, im new to this and bought a "package" from kammerflage and with it came minerall, rep-cal phospherous free calcium with vitamin d and rep-cal herpivite(multi-vitamins). from what i understand the vitamin d is for when chameleons are unable to get into natural sunlight. I face the north side of my apt building which means that i will not ever see the sun on my patio or through my windows. i know that windows block the uvb but always a chance to open them and allow the rays of sun through. now my question is this, should i get a calcium supplement that has no vitamin d since my panther will almost surely rarely see the natural sun? i live in phoenix so when the sun probably has a chance to hit my porch, its going to be 115 degrees out so it will do no good to let him out there to just roast.

I use repcal with D3 and minerall 0, without D3. I mix them, as repcal has a lot of D3 i it, and minerall has trace minerals. When they're outside, I just use the minerall.

How important is it to use the multi-vitamin? Right now with my veiled im only using Zoo Med Repti-Calcium with D3. He never sees the sun during the winter here because from about november to april its usually close to zero or around there. He should have some good sunny days outside in the summer though. I gutload my crickets very well with a large variety of fruits and veggies and cricket feed but perhaps i should still be using a multi-vitamin occassionally?
