To answer this, yes they are safe! Just let them dry for a few days to release any acetic acid and make sure there are no loose long fibres.Not sure if they are cham safe...

I've also seen people take 3/4" thick rope, cover it in a black GE II silicone windows and doors and then roll it in something like coco-fibre and sand.
I've read that ivy isn't the safest plant to have in chameleons enclosures in case feeders chow down on it. Do you mean using just the dead vine or the full plant, because I have ivy everywhere!Why not use natural vines like Ivy or grape?
