http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afm6wyi3qbs
Not sure how to get the video in the window. I need a real video cam . You can kinda see the change, but not as great as I would have liked to see.

Umm...that a nice colored Verrecosus and big guy. But I don't want to be a downer or a Negative Nancy but man that is one stressed out animal in poor health. The side of his head is sunken as well as his head caps...he is pissed on the ground then you pick him up and pet him/stress him to get him to change. I hope you get this breeder to bounce back for you.

Please Chris, tell me how many verro’s that you have, how long you have been working with them, and overall your personal experience/thoughts that you have on them. Do you have many eggs incubating or any babies that you are growing?
Verros in my personal experience are shy chameleons that when you change anything in their enclosures they don’t like it, however once placed back into a nice clean cage are fine. This guy in particular is a very relaxed chameleon that tolerates handling very well, that is unless of course you know my chameleons better than I do. Being a little sunk in from some treatments that we were giving him the previous week is not a huge deal, Bean's health is fine and he has no bouncing back to do. I dont want to turn this into a pissing match but unless you have personal knowledge from working with this chameleon type and or MY chameleon that can actually help or add to this thread keep your useless comments to yourself. Now I am not the chameleon expert that Chris A., Ed, and others are, however I know enough to know that my chameleon is doing just fine and after a week or so of hornworms and extra water he will again have a nice full head o fat. Wild caught chams need time to acclimate to captivity.
Which means left alone in a large cage with lots of foliage to hide in so they feel secure and not threatened. even if he was in perfect health, if he doesn't acclimate he is doomed! |

Being sunken in is not a side affect of any treatment. I don't need to prove any experience to you Chad...I have plenty to spot unhealthy chameleon any day of the week. I am not saying it is your fault or you are doing anything wrong... except maybe stressing him out a bit. Like I said, I hope you get him up and running. But I don't feel like videos stressing out an unhealthy chameleon belongs up for newbies to see and think that is what they should look like or that is how to handle them.
Thats all I was saying...good luck and I would love to see that big green guy healthy when he is a healthy beast. Chris |

Cool Cham u got there.....hmmmm maybe in near future.....lol
Chad n Darci are very good with their Chams....alittle holding to show one getting fired up for people to see the potential is not bad at all........they are breeders and people want to see the Chams at full color potential....its not like they have dogs running around barking at the Chams or dozens of people there wanting to hold it......they were cleaning cages out, and decided to get a quick "demo" of the coloring of the species........ Chad and Darci are TOP NOTCH PEOPLE!! Plain and simple!!! Hey, noticed that nice wood cage in the background........heard those are top notch cages....hehe ![]()
