Veiled sleeping during the day

Hi all, newbie poster here and newbie chameleon owner too! We've had our cham for about 2 months and recently he's started sleeping during the day.

All signs appear normal, he looks healthy (we think) he's doing all the normal stuff, occasionally he settles in for the night earlier than lights out, but sometimes it much earlier around 3/4 pm. I'm aware that sleeping during the day is a bad sign and am hoping someone can advise if there's an indication of a problem:confused:

Chameleon Info:
Veiled Male, around 6-8 months, with us for two months
Handling - rarely only to clean out the viv, he doesn't like it!
Feeding locusts, mealworms and waxworms, around 5 large locusts per day, 1-2 wax worms and 1-2 mealworms put in in the morning and again around 5pm, locusts gut loaded with cabbage, grass and t-rex calcium plus, locusts also dusted with repashy superfoods chameleom super plus, also one live ficus plant which he eats
Small waterfall at back of viv, cleaned regularly, also misted 1-2 times daily with reptile mister, occasionally see him drinking and urine is creamy coloured
Droppings found daily, dark brown colour, occasionally with undigested leaves from ficus in viv, not been tested for parasites

Top of Viv is around 6 ft of floor in corner of living room, wooden walled with glass front, 24"X24"X36"
24" UV tube, basking spotlight, caged, controlled by microclimate magic eye thermostat, comes on at 0700 off at 2000
Temperature during the day on average 75-85, in evening around 65, regulated by magic eye and additional digital thermometer
Humidity between 60% and 90% measured by hydrometer
Cage is in corner of living room,

Where did you buy the cham? He looks more mature than 6-8 months but I could be wrong. You are going to be advised to see a vet by more than one person so be prepared. Did you get a history from the previous owner on his health? Your humidity is REALLY high for a veiled cham ... they come from a somewhat dryer climate than panthers so you should have it around 40-50.

That seems like a lot of food everyday. What about feeding a larger meal one day and a snack on the next? A little hunger keeps them a bit more alert, active, and less fussy about feeders in the long run. Feeding a cham near the end of the day isn't great. They end up with undigested food sitting in their stomach during cooler night temps. Provide food in the morning or mid day, not late in the afternoon.

Any vitamin dusts? I'm not familiar with the brands you mentioned.

How old is the UV tube? If it's older than 6 months replace it. Can he get within 18" of it? Does the heat light come on at night if the temp drops too low? It might be waking him up at odd times when the house is cooler.

We bought him from the breeder who couldn't remember which month he was born in so guessed he was around 4-5 months, but he could be older. Breeder had no issues with him, when we bought him he was in a viv with his two brothers. Noted re the humidity, will keep an eye on that.

Don't think I explained myself properly with his food he has all that in the morning and then in the evening we put a couple of locusts if he's active, if he's not moving a lot, we don't bother.

We use the calcium dust I said below, it's the one the breeder gave us, it's a vitamin mineral supplement. It's a t-rex product.

UV tube is only a couple of months old, it's vertical at the back of the viv (this is how the breeder advised us to position) and he can get as close to is as he likes. THe heat lamp does come on at night if the temp drops. If it wakes him up at night would he go to sleep earlier as a result?
