Veiled chameleon eye issue

Hi! I got my first chameleon a couple months ago and everything was good until a couple weeks ago when we noticed her eye started to have a small lump in it. This was the same time she was shedding so we figured she got a piece of she'd in it and it would work itself out. It just seems to be getting worse. Now it looks like around the eye is turning white. I have called the vet but they are closed until Monday. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what it could be??? Something to do until she can see a vet??? Thank you.
