i am aware that veiled chameleons are known to have bad! temperaments:mad:, however i wanna compare the stories of people who have nice ones and stories of devil ones! alright do itt!!!!!!!

Mines bi polar.
One day hes cool wiith me, some days hes grumpy, but fine when he gets on my hand, and others he runs and gets ANGRY.

he has sort of nommed my knuckle, but not to the point it hurts.

My veiled, Verde, actually has a great temperment. He almost always heads for my hand when I reach in to feed or clean. He will also brighten up when I come close to his home. I was very pleased to have gotten one that seems to be so social.

Mine wants absolutely nothing to do with me unless i have food in my hand.

I dont think I've ever put so much time and money into something that hates me haha.

My female veiled became very cage aggressive when she reached about 9-10 months old even with continued daily handling. She was decent once out but still not the nicest.

I just got my female veiled. She's not nice at all. Avoids my hand at all cost when I mist her or put her food in there. I just simply watch her from afar. And thats good enough for me. :D

Ours are very sweet. Our female especially. She will go to anyone and take food from anyone. We have taken both out male and female to educational events and they are both very tolerant of crowds and commotion.

Their babies are 6 weeks old and reach out for us when we go near the baby bin. There is no guarantee they will always be that way but it's a start!

My female is about 8 months old... She was always SO friendly and playful until recently.. Now she never wants to be touched, she hisses and immediately turns colors when I try to get her out of the cage, but once she's out, she's completely normal and sweet! I just like to think that she really loves her home lol..

Same way with my female! If i try and take her out she gets mad, once she's out she doesn't want back in.

My female is a little bit huffy in her enclosure, but has never done anything but headbutt me. When she is out, she is absolutely wonderful! She has been to children's animal-themed birthday parties with me, and always enjoys a good scratch on her crest or back. My male is a bit of a spaz, and loves to take random flying leaps off of your arms or shoulders and onto the couch/bed/whatever he can land on. He is a sweety, though, and has never gaped at me. I think it is all so dependent upon their personality!

Mine has never headbutt me, but she jumps at me with her mouth open like she wants to eat me and it makes me jump every time!

Haha! Maybe she enjoys your reaction :p I always thought that mine was going to bite me, because she would gape and hiss and throw a little fit. But no, she just bops me now if she doesn't want me around!

Mine is All Show

When I first got him he would gape and his at me if my hand came near him. Now three years later he tolerates me touching him, but I still can not handle him. But I think this is for the best as chameleons live longer when they are not stressed.
