My chameleon was bought at Petsmart. I was told it was a male. The past week he has been at the bottom of the cage barely moving. He is not eating and I don't know what to do with him. I have had him for 8 months and he has never done this before.

Can you fill in the questionaire in the "how to ask for help" thread in the health section please.
Sounds like time for a visit though.

i had the same problem with mine, what is the thickness of the branches in his cage? they might be to big for his feet. but try filling this out there may be some underlying problems that the more experienced guys can figure out.

First off WELCOME TEXAN!!!!
Second I agree with Kinyonga at 8 months if he is in fact a male I believe it may be time for a vet visit and unfortunately I don't know of any exotic vets near you which is what you'll need for him.. I know there are a few more towards Dallas, Plano, and Richardson but not Denton /:
I will ask, does your cham have tarsal spurs on the back of it's feet... They should be pretty obvious at that age.. If "he" does not you may have an egg bound female on your hands, in which a vet trip is DEFINITELY in order... I hope everything works out!
