UVB tube.....

5.0

the 10.0 should only be used if your cham needs extra uvb cuz of mbd or somethng, or if the mesh is unusually thick.

My vet recommends 10.0 for Panthers because they live high in the trees and get strong UV unlike other chams that live among the bushes and branches. My Panthers love them. I have measured the UV with my meter and I get 60-80+ from a new bulb whereas from a 5.0 I only get 40-50. When I take the meter outside I can get 180 no problem. That is why the chams like to be outside. I only put my babies under the lower UV bulbs.

I am a 10.0 believer also. My panther has an enclosure that is dense w/ plant life also.

Going 10.0 seems to be going against the grain with all the advice out there for 5.0.

I am still waiting for a response from Liddy the owner of Kammerflage Kreations in reference to her statement on their website as to NEVER use a 10.0 as they emit too much phosphorous.Go check it out for yourself. They even warn it can kill your chamelelon. Pretty strong statement there....

I think I've started something now lol, I think I'm just going to go for an 8.0 to keep everybody happy lol
