Hey everyone I'm in the process of putting together my forever cage for my chameleon ( male nosy be )so far the cage is 24"L x 24"W x 48"H I'm going to put 2-3 different sized ficus trees inside but I'm curious how you all have your environments put together and what products your using .. Please post pictures so I can get a good idea of what your talking about !!
-Feeding-
One thing I would like to do is have a area where I can connect/hang and remove a cup for feeding
-Heating -
My home is starting to get colder as the seasons are changing so what do you use ?
Under tank heaters ,rock heaters ,or
heat cables 25 watt 14.75 feet, or 50 watt 23 feet I don't want anything hotter just because I don't want to over heat my chameleon next question if your using heating cables are you using them underneath your cage or inside as a branch ? Please post pics !!!
-misting-
Right now I'm using the big dripper and hand misting several times a day about 3-5min I do have a habba mist system but heard it's crap so never hooked it up I'm looking for a good system I can mist multiple cages if possible .. Waterfalls Does anyone have one set up for their Cham ?
-Draining systems -
I don't have a draining system right now I'm using a turkey baser so I really would love to see how your setup is draining !!! As this is one huge upgrade I will be adding to Rango's new environment !
-random question-
I was going to put this new cage in my room but I fall asleep after my chameleon does so would it be ok if I cover his cage with a light sheet so the tv doesn't bother him ? Or just leave him in the family room that never gets used ?

Thanks for sticking with me and taking the time to read this post any help is much appreciated

I posted the link to my enclosure at the bottom I use mostly all live plants. i have a schefflera, hibiscus, wandering jew, and pothos, also lan to find magnatural plant holders for some baby tears and have 2 small air plants. all my braches are from outside with bleached and baked and suspended with thumbtacks. with some old bendy vines i had at home

lots of options to do that, i change my feeding habits if i do free range i just squeeze the cup between 2 branches.

Strictly use appropriate lighting, they only understand getting heat from light source that mimics the sun, so UTH and heat rope arent recommended, i currently use a 50 watt in the winter my house is cold may need to go up to 100w

-Draining systems -waterfalls are a nono, breeding grounds for bacteria, not to say it cant be done hard to maintain needs to be cleaned often and just not recommended

drainage mine being custom built i used acrylic sheet for my bottom with tons of drilled holes and a catch pan underneath. also posted in one of the links at the bottom

this will show my setup branches and decoration wise
https://www.chameleonforums.com/re-did-cage-what-you-think-133459/

this shows my build and think has my drainage a bit in it, might not be clear though.https://www.chameleonforums.com/first-enclosure-120008/

might need to go towards the ends of those threads to see most of the progress

other than my threads there are 2 enclosure threads that are stickied as well as a drainage system sticky which is great for inspiration for new ideas

I don't think you'll need heating cables. If your house gets super cold in the winter, you can use a ceramic heat emitter.
For misting systems I would go with Aquazamp or Mistking. They're both good, reliable systems that can run more than one cage.
