I am the proud owner of 4 rudis chameleons - 1 male (Bith), and three females (Mifaly, Mysia and Tia). All beautiful and healthy. May 20, 2008, Mifaly gave birth to 8 live babies - tomorrow they will be 1 month old (6 live still remaining), June 10, 2008, Tia gave birth to 9 live babies (7 live still remaining), Today, June 19, 2008, Mysia gave birth to 11 live babies (all still alive and kicking). That gives me a total of 24 babies right now!! This has certainly been an experience. I hope I don't make too many mistakes and the cost of their lives. So far I feel that everything is going well. They are all eating well (pinheads and fruit flies), misting 8 - 12 times a day to keep up the humidity and keeping them at about 74 temp wise. This last clutch, even though this was a larger clutch with 11 babies, they seem alot bigger than the last 2 clutches - so I hope they will be alot tougher!

Pictures are of Mifaly - Mysia - Tia - Bith and baby from the first clutch

Do you house the group (adults 3 females and one male) together?
I think that's okay with this species (???)
Just curious if you bred all the females separately or if they all live in the same enclosure with the male.

All four live in a 30 x 30 x 18 zilla inclosure. They all seem to hang pretty close together, expecially at night - they kind of huddle in a group. Always find the babies clinging to the top of the cage. Several times I thought they were crickets. The babies are housed in 15 gallon aquariums with plants and a few branches, but they still manage to crawl all over eachother and hang out in groups too.
