tree frogs

just found my red eyed tree frog taking a nap on my grey tree frog, neither of them seem to mind

WOW! That's a huge Grey Tree Frog. Biggest one I've ever seen. Usually the ones I see are about 2-2.5 inches long. How long is your Grey about 6 inches? What are you feeding him? Very Cool though!

sleeping like that he is a total of 3inches. i cant hold him so idk how long he is with his legs extended but its gotta be every bit of 5-6 inches. he was very small when i found him jumping on my sliding glass door. he was very skinny and underfed so i took him in and before i knew it it was winter and getting very cold so i decided to keep him. i only feed him crickets and i dust them with multivitamins and calcium w d3 about twice a month, hes been doing fine for over a year now ... oh and his name is stickers, cups is the red eye sleeping on him, and there is a green anole somewhere in the cage named twitch, theyve all been together for about 8month now but ive had him the longest

I guess it's the camera angle that makes him look so darn huge. Lol! About 3 years ago my 9 year old niece found some tiny tadpole eggs in Grandmas swimming pool. So she gave about 8 of them and I successfully fed, took care of and raised them. It was so much fun to watch them transform from tadpole all the way up to a frog. During tadpole stage I looked at a few identification photos and made a positive id that they were Grey Tree Frogs. I kept 3 and released the rest back into the wild in the woods near a river fed channel. I added the 3 frogs to my anole enclosure. Sad to say they only lived for 4 months. My fault because their wasn't enough moisture and humidity in the tank for them. The thing is they were fine one day then 12-14 hours later in the morning I found them at the bottom of the tank buried in the dry soil shriveled up. I was so upset with myself. I do have pictures of the frogs tadpole stage all the way to fully matured if you want to see them. Good luck and keep up the good work with your Grey!

so do they just get more gray/ white as they mature? ive only seen him dark green a handfull of times.

I believe so, from what I read and photos I looked at. There is a Gray phase and a Green phase of the Gray Tree Frog. I provided a link to a website that talks about the Gray Tree Frog and color phases. If your tree frog seems to be green all or most of the time then it's probably the green phase of the Gray. Which color does your Gray seem to stay at?
