Is this too much in cage?

Starting out with my first chameleon, just upgraded to a larger cage and was wondering if this is too much as far as plants. Smaller plants are plastic, pathos is real and other larger one is real. Thanks for any help.

Nope not too much. If anything you could add more if you wanted to. Cham probably wouldn't mind more hiding spaces. ;)

I don't know what you got going on in the bottom there but make sure there's noting small enough to eat and ditch the water bowl unless it's intended to catch water that you're going to clean often everyday. They don't drink from bowls, well, there has been some rare ones but I wouldn't bet on it. You're also just better off with nothing on the bottom. It's hiding room for critters and it makes clean up unnecessarily hard.

Also make sure to have a dripper and proper lighting. UVB is very important.

Thanks, rocks on the bottom, just because someone told me to do that. The bowl is for his mealworms before I put them in it I wash it out, it is usually wet from the mister and that seems to be where he likes to poop after he clears out the mealworms. I thought since I mist 2 to 3x a day I wouldn't need the dripper. Uv lamp is good but need to change it out its almost 6 months old. Thank you for the advise, I definitely will get rid of bottom rocks.

A few more climbing pathways (more branches) that give him access to more of the cage area would be good. It will also keep him from trying to climb on the cage mesh.

I've really never ever seen a situation where you could use too much plants/foilage...

Just depends how much you generally want them to hide vs if you can see them. The idea is to give them a place to hide while also having areas to be exposed and bask. Looks fine to me! Just like they said rocks might be a pain to clean. Otherwise, eye candy wise. Very pretty piece to have sitting in your room.

Thanks for the advise, after cleaning bottom out and adding rocks in plants, more climbing vines here is Newtons revamped home

Once the Pathos grows out, train it onto the branches, that will fill in your holes.

Looks nice.

CHEERS!
