I've been seeing something every now and then about your Po on here, and her having to go to the Vet, I thinks it was. Is she a female Veiled and what happened to her?

Yeah she's a female veiled.

Her droppings were strange for about the last week, almost no solid fecal matter just urate and this slimy red orange stuff. sometimes no urate just the slimy.

She had also stopped eating but continued drinking. despite her drinking though she started to appear increasingly dehydrated.

Took her to the first vet... who had no idea what he was doing

finally got her in to a reputable vet that's almost 2 hours away
and she gave me three options that it could be

1. An impaction, because po has a thing for trying to eat her laying bin sand.
2. A bacterial infection or parasite
3. Something about being full of eggs.

so she kept her for the weekend waiting for her to poo so she could test it. If that comes back with no answers to her problems then they'll do x-rays , which are pricey. so hopefully they find the answer in her droppings.

I hope she's going to be ok. Keep us posted and stay strong for Po :)

I'll be looking for that post...one of my Xanth's has a very similar looking poo. I really hope he's not impacted!! He likes to eat the fertilizer rocks in the plant! Idk if I'd prefer impaction over parasites :p

while she's been gone this weekend I thoroughly cleaned her cage and her leaves. so she'll come home to a nice clean room.
