Three toed box turtle

This is Franklin. He is my three toed box turtle that I caught in the wild years ago. I ended up giving him to my sister but since she is heading off to college next week I figured I would take over. Enjoy

He's cute! I have five 3-toeds and two ornates.

I want to say maybe 4-5 years ago? My sister didn't know how to properly care for him and that's why he is on the smaller side. But that big enclosure I plan on building outside for the chams is going to be his home too

Excellent! They do so much better outside!! I keep mine outside 24/7, even the babies and they are so much healthier for it. His shell is a bit domed but he should be fine with good care from here out. Lots of calcium! All but 2 of mine were adopted from a turtle rescue in Houston and some of them have some issues like that too.

Yeah when I moved out she was taking care of him and she didn't know how to give him the proper care.
