What do those cool little guys eat by the way I have always liked them
Sweet! I'll have to stop by and say hi.
Earthworms are apparently the best for them according to many. But they also eat bloodworms, blackworms and sinking trout pellets. I'm betting they won't complain about silks or butters from time to time either. They had a bunch last year at one table...they better have them again this year!
Cool We thought about bringing Ranger but He is a shy guy around people so we will prob. not be bringing him. but he is not shy around a cameralol
That sounds right...I wasn't even considering them at that time so I wasn't paying much attention. Just saw tons of little ones in cups and gawked at them for a while for fun. They're so cute!
You keep them in low oxygen water right?
Yeah they get stressed by too much water agitation so if you do use a filter/air pump it needs to be low power so it doesn't move the water too much. But if it's too low oxygen you'll see them go up to the top to breathe air, and that's sub-optimal. I'm getting a sponge filter for them. The biggest problem for keeping them in Texas is they need cool water (in the 60s and 70s). By the time it really heats up for the summer hopefully I'll be moving to a cooler state!
O ok cool some pond stores Carrie water in line coolers I have one on my koi pond you just set the temp and your done. But they are a little bit of $$
you are moving out of Texas
Yep. Been here my whole life and want to see something else, like these 'four seasons' that people keep telling me about. Something about it not being intolerably hot 75% of the year - madness! Hoping to move somewhere in Colorado come May, but we'll see. I know you'll miss me.
I know thats sad Your Chams are going to miss that Texas Sun.
hey Camron, i plan to check out lights and some feeder supplies while I'm there. Should be there about 1-1:30 if you want to meet up at TX ranger's table at some point.
They do have pretty good deals but check online first so you dont feel ripped off later
