Thinking about home made

I have an old china cabinet and I've been thinking about maybe making it in to my chams new home. I just want to here if any one has done anything like that because I am worried about the wood not holding up to all the moisture!!!!!! I'm also conserned about the depth only being 16 in!
Any ideas.??

It's very possible. I just finished a similar build. As long as you waterproof the wood it'll be fine.
