Things that you know but are embarrassed to admit

Mine: There are 605 calories in a bottle of Chardonnay- 55 less than a Big Mac and a heck of a lot more fun!

It's not embarrassing, but there are only 12 blimps in the entire world, and 34 blimp pilots to pilot them. When a blimp is inflated for the first time it will stay inflated until it's decommissioned. Lastly, pilots will fly blimps all over the place, but when they have to have an overnight, they will land at airports - I've never seen that, but what a cool sight that would be as you're coming in for a landing!

This is mine: There are about 80,000 calories in an average male body of 150 lbs. Yum.

you make me nervous  LOL !!!! :p ( but on the flip side, if I ever have to eat my husband, he is only about a 75,000 meal ;) add garlic bread, and its a meal :p )

2) How did I NOT know this???

Here is one i read a while back

Can you tell the temperature by listening to the chirping of a cricket?

The frequency of chirping varies according to temperature. To get a rough estimate of the temperature in degrees fahrenheit, count the number of chirps in 15 seconds and then add 37. The number you get will be an approximation of the outside temperature so the answer is yes, lol

2) How did I NOT know this???

Instead of listening to repetitive top 40 "hits" on radio stations I listen to 5 different podcasts. This info came from How to Do Everything, done by NPR. It's 15 minute podcasts once a week that are hilarious, and full of stuff like this - the question prompting this info was regarding deflating a blimp, so they called a blimp pilot who provided all of those facts. If you like that kind of stuff, may I also suggest Stuff You Should Know, by How Stuff Works.
