Which thermometer should I trust?

I have a digital thermometer and a digital hygro/thermo combo that I use to measure the basking and ambient temperatures, respectively. Both are by ExoTerra. I just got a SainSonic infrared thermometer gun from amazon, and its giving me different readings. Which do you think I should trust?

The closer you get with the temp gun, the more accurate. Have you tried taking the temp of the probe on the exoterra thermometer?

The temp will vary greatly in different parts of the cage (if you are doing it right).

I would trust the temp gun over the exoterra if I had to choose. Try aiming the gun at a warm part of your body (armpit perhaps) and if it comes close to 98 degrees then the temp gun is accurate (it will probably be slightly under 98)

Yeah I think I was just still getting the hang of the temp gun. They are both pretty much in synch now. Thanks for your response!
