I know i shouldnt do it everytime but he doesnt mind being held at all......what do yall think??? Im new to the foruma nd a new chameleon owner as well so any advice would be GREAT! oh he is about one year old

another question!!

i have crickets already and i wante to go and get soem worms for him as well tomorrow how many should i buy and how long will they live????

umm like 15 minutes he likes to hang out on my shoulder when i go out on my patio.....but i thought maybe i should get yalls opinion on walking him around....thanks for the quick response!

I walk my guys just about everyday. They love walking outside.....if nothing else we walk around and around the pool in the backyard.

there is an adult cham that was left on the doorstep of our local pet shop and i know the girl who works there takes him for walks i think she holds onto his tail in case of any panics

Does she understand holding his tail is probably not happy for the cham?

No, actually I'm quite serious, no, it wouldn't walk on the ground, seriously, I'm not stupid. But in case the cham decides to jump or falls you have a 'fail safe' it can't get away from you. Now I realize it isn't like an iguana where it is 7 feet long and can walk by itself, but if it is bad to hold the chameleon itself while taking it on walks, and it decides to spook what other way would be best to keep it close? At least if you have a leash on it then even if it got to close to a tree you could easily hold it (gently) in place while retreiving it. Just a thought, it might not be as bad as you make it sound.

I'd be nervous about doing that. A chameleon can go from calm to panicked in no time at all. One minute he could be fine, the next minute he's scampering away, and slips and falls off your shoulder.

Not a good idea, IMO. Especially if you're trying to keep an eye on your dog at the same time as your chameleon
