Surgeon General's Warning: The Chameleon can be dangerously addictive...

Lathis

Chameleon Enthusiast
1.5 parts melon-flavored liqueur
1.0 part berry-flavored mixer, frambois, or berry vodka
1.0 part vodka or gin (use the cheap stuff)
2.0 parts sweet and sour mix or frozen lemonade

Shake vigorously over ice. Pour into fancy glass and top with 3.0 to 4.0 parts Sprite.

For fun, add a tiny splash of grenadine, blue curacao, or other dye-saturated mixer to the center of the glass and watch it change colors!

So this happened tonight at the pub. I’m usually a scotch drinker but ‘The Chameleon’ was surprisingly tasty and refreshing. Not ungrateful flavoured at all.

Of course there is the pint sized Pygmy Chameleon to go along with it, because, as the old saying goes, you can’t just have one.

And here I thought you were never drinking again???
How much explaining did you have to do to the bar tender? Ha!

LOL!! I was wondering the same thing!
What was the bar tender's reaction when you asked for a chameleon?
I bet he/she had never made one

HEY TRACE!

I'm surprised you didn't reply to my International Bacon Day thread :D

Well Glen has been a bartender for about 15 years, previous to that he was a cop with the Toronto Police so I don’t think there is much that really fazes him. Well comic books but that’s another story.

The chameleon related request coming from me was not out of the ordinary (I’m a quasi-regular at the pub) but it was his first time making it. I must say it did cause quite the stir and I had several people stop to ask what I was drinking. I’ll definitely have The Chameleon again.

Well maybe not today... uuuuugh.

Last night I stopped at the Wendy’s and picked up a Baconator on my way home. Does that count? They know me by name there.

I was in a bar in Tennessee tonight where someone called me "Ms. Fancy Pants" for ordering a glass of wine. I'm going to say The Chameleon would be a no go..

LOL!! Where I live, a guy can order a green drink, maybe get a few macho glances from the yahoos, but never order anything PINK!!

ugh- after Friday night, I can hardly read this thread - I am also not a big drinker - I try- but 1 - and I am ready for bed ! Friday night, my sis in law and I decided to "invent" a drink- it was peach/mango energy drink - and coconut rum - but it was not a gaggy sweet like you would think- it was good ! I had 6 BIG ones  my hubby finally told her to not give me anymore- nothing worse than a hyper drunk :p
today is Sunday - I STILL dont feel well - LOL but that could be because we had a fundraiser early the next day- the heat index was 101 ! hangover from sweet drinks are the worst - and add the heat- I am lucky I was able to get threw it with out showing everyone what I had for diner the night before - LOL ( but when I am recovered in 6 mos !! - I am going to try one of these ;) )
