super wormswont morph.

ok so i have had a bunch of super worms sitting in a darm moist warm spot seperated into containers for them selves and some more in a nut/bolt sorter thing... they have turned into C formation.... but have just been laying there for weeks now in C some have crapped they all look quite life less.... is this normal

I don't think you need the containers or the room to be moist. Mine are morphing just fine in dry, empty containers. Room humidity is below 30%.

hey man well what you have to do is separate each one and wait until they form into a beetles then but them into a enclosure.

Yes they curl into a letter c shape prior to pupating.

If they are dead they turn totally black and smell.

ok cool there not black... just sitting in C form.... should be any time now then and yeah the next container i put the beatles in has to have bran as well and be like 8 inches deep am i correct?

Go to my blog page. You will see directions for raising worms. I do it all the time. Patience is the name of the game, however I now have a bin just full of little worms about 1 1/2" long. Parents last for 3 months so you need to be putting worms into a crysalis container on a regular basis.

I only have about one to two inches of substrate. I dont suppose more would hurt though.
