Some of my little guys...
So I couldn't get my little guy from lance to fire up today, even in the presence of another male! But here are some pics of him and some pics of my little guy sired by Kaboom from screameleons. I'll add some more pics of him later right before bed to show kinda what he looks like fired up, he usually sleeps in his yellow pj's with orange bars. Oh and I also added a pic of the series I shot for a local photo show/gallery. The darker of the two chams is the once from lance, not showing much of his yellows or his red background at all but still lookin' fly. Hope you like them.
Justin EDIT: Also in regards to the little one from screameleons, The top of his head is still pure white minus one or two very very pale mint green scales in the middle of his head, anyone know if that is normal in a 6 month old ambilobe? Cuz the other guys top of the head is green and all my other panthers have normal colors up there. I hope he isn't getting grey scales already!

Thanks. They are both super friendly most of the time, unless they see each other. The darker one just wouldn't fire up today though. The white on top of the screameleons one is pretty interesting, Since he just shed I know it isn't just because of shedding and it has been like that since I got him. I think it looks cool. Thanks for looking.

You got some great males there! I think the male you question with regard to the head is getting ready to shed. He has that opaque look on part of his legs. I think his had might be getting ready to shed and a few scales peeled off early. The scales on the head shed individually although it often comes off in large pieces. A few individual scales may not shed for a while and a few may shed early. I think you are going to see a lot of shedding in the next week. You can give him some extra showers to help speed it up. The process of dry pre-shed skin getting moist and then drying out again helps it lift off the body naturally. Post another picture after he sheds

The male from lance is about six and a half months, maybe closer to seven. He was just over 3 months when I got him during the last week of october/ first week of november. The male from screameleons is actually older by 2 weeks I found out.
Here's a link to the sire of the darker male from lance http://www.chameleonforums.com/membe...-ambilobe.html And the sire for the lighter colored guy is here http://www.screameleons.com/portal/a...-US&tabID=3365 He's also the chameleon in the site logo from www.Ilovechameleons.com His name is Ka Boom. EDIT: He is in the logo that shows up in the site sponsor top right corner of this forum, it's a differnet chams on the logo on the website. Pardalisgirl: Yes, he is getting ready to shed. Probably tomorrow actually. He has shed every 2 1/2 weeks so far since I got him. I have recently cut back food intake in the last month because he was growing so fast compared to all my other young ones. I just didn't want bone complications or any other complications from growing way too fast. He is well over a foot long from nose to tail tip(14 inches last time I measured about 1 1/2 weeks ago) However he has never had color on the top of his head. When all of his other colors came in none did up there except like 2 scale in the very middle and they look almost off-white with a very very very slight minty hue. I just haven't seen a cham this old with no color on the top of the head, I know it's lighter on younger chams but not colorless. But I will post pics after he sheds in the next few days. Oh and The CH male I got from you began to shed again yesterday and is almost done except for one eye turret and one patch on the side. He looks STUNNING! Completely red/orange/burgundy with light teal bars sometimes and navy/deep blueish purple others. He is phenomenal. thanks again for him
