Who ended up with Giants or Yellow lipped ? or is that a secret decoder ring question? PM's welcome if folks don't want to post in public. I have what I think is a pair of giants as the male is the largest chameleon I have ever seen and I have been a fan of Parsons when they were less than $100 so I saw some large imports back in the 80's and 90's.

Post pictures and we can give it a go at IDing the Phase/type of Parsonii!? Golden/Yellow Giants are considered exceedingly rare in the hobby even in Europe and in Asia. They are much more rare compared to the other phases/types of Parsonii such as Orange Eyes, Yellow Lips and the sub species Cristifer Parsonii.

Here is a crappy photo of him right after he arrived. He is quite camera shy so I don't have any good photos of him yet. Hopefully in his new enclosure he will feel more secure.

Like the others, I think you have a yellow lip.

The morph I'm interested in is the "green giant." Not many photos
or information out there about these. They exist on Masoala, but I'm not sure if they are endemic to any other locations.

I saw a picture on FB recently of a yellow giant that left no doubt as to what it was. I'm curious how a WC Parson's that old will acclimate.

That Yellow Giant belongs to Saguis Oganissian from Sweden. That is a male of a wild caught pair he owns.

She's crazy yellow, is she like that all the time? The female that came in with ( what folks are saying is a yellow lip ) is just large and green so who knows.

Does the calumma parsonii export quota include the cristifer subspecies?
From what I understand they are under considerable stress from habitat loss ...but don't quote me on that. Chris would be the one to ask.

This subspecies has got a limited range and are under much stress from habitat loss. On the CITES quota list there is no mention of them apart from the nominate subspecies. It makes them appear as though they are on the list with the nominate subspecies. Good question.
