Didn't you already ask this?

Didn't people tell you to take your Chameleon to the Veterinarian?

Fill this out:

Here is some recommended information to include when asking for help in the health clinic forum. By providing this information, you will receive more accurate and beneficial responses. It might not be necessary to answer all these questions, but the more you provide the better. Please remember that even the most knowledgeable person can only guess at what your problem may be. Only an experienced reptile veterinarian who can directly examine your animal can give a true diagnosis of your chameleon's health.

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Pictures are helpful

Gutloading refers to feeding your feeder insects with something nutritious just before you feed them to your lizard. The insects gut contents are also absorbed by the lizard.

So if you want your cham to eat good food... but doesn't like to..... he has no choice because his dinner ate that good food :D

This is ALSO a reason why good, clean feeders matter... feeding dirty nasty feeders is just like giving whatever dirty nasty-ness the feeder has, directly to the chameleon.

i called a local place here and they told me they had the following cricket gutload....

orange crickets....something
complete cricket cruncher
cricket gus something....

are they any good

I use mainly green leafy veggies with the occational fruit and things like yams, squash, and carrots. I just recently ran out of a dry gutload so I need to purchase more. Most commercial dry gutload isn't as good as the gutload that members and online bug supply stores make.

If I were you, I'd go with cricket crack and lots of high calcium veggies and greens.Though I can't imagine how you can afford it if you can't pay for a vet visit or shipping to send him somewhere. Veggies are getting really expensive.

Is there a gutload that has all the good stuff in it.?? Btw my Cham isn't drinking... Last time I saw him drink was 2 days ago.. What shall I do...

I got some crickets and meal worms today. The guy told me to feed them apples, carrots and lettuce and I don't need to get the cricket crack. Is that right or is he messing with me??

what are urates??

Urates are solid pee. This is the white part of your lizards poo.

Its your choice, but be aware lettuce contains very little nutritional value, its mostly water. A variety of dark leafy veg, carrots and similar veg also some fruit will provide a wider range of vitamins, minerals and essential nutrients, which your lizard will benefit from.
If you gutload with some moist fruits aswell, the lizard will benefit from the increased moisture content in the insects.

You didn't know of gut-loading?

..what kind of research did you do?...

BTW forget the guy. I was told bunch of wrong things in the store and I came here and got everything right.
(meal worms are not suppose to be fed on daily bases. use as treats)

no i didnt know of gut loading.....i gave the crickets some apples.....i think thats good. BTW i think the cham has closed his mouth while sleeping....so far so good. slept about an hours ago....ill keep you updated..

gut load and food isn't really going to change him gaping.... you need to know why he is gaping.. is it a LRI? do you hear popping or wheezing when he breaths? excess mucus in his mouth?

hes doesnt have an open mouth while sleeping.....so thats a good sign for sure....no i didnt hear any popping when he was breathing.....but today was definately better than yesterday....

this is my little guy.....sleeping with mouth closes.....good sign.!!
