Simple but effective drainage.

I've had to set up a bunch of cages lately that require misting and extended dripping. This solution seems to be simple, cheap, and effective for my implementation.

I drilled two small holes on either side plus it has the top hole incase the sides get clogged. it would take multiple poos/crickets to clog it. This would not be a good solution for dirty cages.

Good Idea. Does anything like a dead cricket or maybe a little poo clog the drain?

I LOVE simple! Another pretty simple approach, depending on what sort of plastic your cage bottom is, is to put that rock or brick where you want the water to drain to, and heat the plastic from underneath with a hair dryer or small torch until the plastic sags under the weight of the rock. Remove the rock and let the plastic cool into its new shape. Then cut or drill the drain hole at the bottom of the depression and put your bucket underneath.
