Shower time for the panthers (lots of pics)

Olimpia

Biologist & Ecologist
I was moving two weeks ago and needed to have the panthers out of the way while I dismantled their room, free ranges, cages, and all that good stuff so we could load it into the truck. And I figured a warm shower was much more enjoyable than being stuck in their little transportation bins for more hours so I put them and their plants in the tub and they got the longest shower ever.

*Note, yes my panthers are routinely together and have lived together in an entire room free range for almost 8 months now. I'm not recommending that anyone without plenty of experience (and pretty docile panthers, like I'm lucky to have) try putting males together.

Now for pics! Sorry for the quality of the pics, my hosting site really reduced the resolution.

Cerberus and Cobalt. I don't know what it is with them, they drink off each other all the time. They must taste good?

Don't apologize for picture quality when they're pics like that! Thanks so much for sharing. The pics of them drinking off one another are great. Wow!

They're fab pics!!!

Those two are proper little pals aren't they.

Lovely colours too....looks like they really enjoyed themselves :D

You have extraordinary chams. They must be great pets with that kind of interaction together. I really enjoyed those pictures.

Olimpia those are some adorable shots of your panthers. Hope that your move went well and you are all settled back in Melbourne? Lizbeth is now living in Sarasota for her medical internship.

Thank you everyone! I'd never seen them interact like that (it's not unusual to see them sleeping near each other or feeding from the feeder bin together, etc. but nothing like this) so I was pretty moved by how cute it was :D And Cobalt could have moved away if he were bothered but he kept drinking from the air droplets anyway so they must be pretty comfy with each other.

Texas - It looks like I might be getting a nosy female so in a year or two (hopefully when I'm done with school) I will try my hand at breeding them. So don't worry, his genes are not going to waste!

Jann - thanks! Yes, I'm more or less moved in by now although there's still a lot of stuff in boxes lol I'm being pretty lazy about putting everything away. How is Liz liking Sarasota? I liked it a lot there and am sorry to have moved away, even if it was for something important like school.

She's loving Sarasota. I'm hoping she'll want to do her fellowship there. :)
