I've found Reptibreeze, DIY Cages, & LLLReptile. Am I missing any other manufacturer? I checked the sponsors. :) I'm ready to make a purchase.

Thanks, Kim

I'm with Dr on this, the Lll and DIY cages work fantastic :D I have both and have been happy with them. Some DIY have a larger opening in front and I like that a lot as it makes it easier to remove plants when it comes time to clean cages. I'm for anything that makes it easier as long as it works well! :D

Are the DIY really as shiny as they look in the pic?
Does the lower portion of the LLL cage open like the DIY does? It doesn't say so I assume not.
Aaaand just noticed the size I want, DIY won't have back instock until the May 15th :(

Thanks to you both, SMCNARY & drcrossfire.

They r not to shiny, look like aluminum !!! :) just compare the openings and also DIY had a deal and was cheaper with shipping! That being said I order 90% of my supplies from Lll so both r good!!!

I have a DIY and it's not that shiny. I mean it is bare metal so it is reflective but its not gleaming like it is in the pic

I was editing and I think my other question may have been missed. Does the lower portion of the LLL cage open like the DIY does? I can imagine that is a great feature to have.

I love my DIY!! Depends on your set-up, but I have only used the lower portion of the DIY (the part you mentioned that opens) a couple of times. Usually when I was trying to change the paper towel without disturbing the cham, but he's usually not hanging up front so close to the door anyway.

I own a penn plax 2x2x4 which is great. It has an acrylic door on the front for easier viewing. It is a very well built cage.

I have 1 DIY, 1 LLL and 2 reptibreeze, all 2x2x4's. The reptibreeze are crap. I only got those because I scored both for $60 on Craigslist. They are V-E-R-Y flimsy. The DIY looks great and the LLL is nice

I also have a Penn Plax 18x18x36 and I like the crossbar on the top.

My portable 18x18x20 reptibreeze's are acceptable.

I hope to not use any of these once I build my GOC. I'm planning to build separate enclosures within the GOC.

Both open on bottom but DIY has larger front opening on most models

The bottom opening is really only for taking the floor in and out. You don't need it much but when you do you do. I went with the DIY because it had the largest opening.
