Roux, Ambanja from Dez's Mr. Twister

Roux here shocked the heck out of me this morning. first shot, 3 weeks ago, second shot, 2 weeks ago; the rest, today. and this is without a shed! i was in the enclosure yesterday and did not see this red at all!! and today he’s blazing!

so cool! cannot wait to see whatever he turns out to be! he's about 8-9 months now and i picked him for his atypical color patterns.

Very impressive. He's definitely showing some awesome colors.
Do you plan on breeding him in the future? If so start taking names now.

as it is, I don't have any female banjas presently. I've been breeding red/blue bar ambi's, sambavas, faly's and some morphs, but I just didn't feel right not having an ambanja at all. dez has beautiful ambanjas imo, and I was very happy to get an offspring from Mr. Twister. he looked pretty different from his clutchmates, but looks like he was going to do some funky things. like I told dez, I just needed an ambanja to represent! I'm sure some day the right female will come along and I'll breed him, but I won't get her until I have a clue what direction he winds up going in.

thanks for the kind words!

Now that's getting flashy :) The whites really stand out now, those stripes are all great! What's he going to look like after his next shed?

Wow what a shock! I would not have believed hat is the same chameleon!

wow he is fantastic looking! Love the whitish blue spikes!!!

The blue spikes is the first thing I noticed that was different about him from his brothers. He had them even as a baby. And his lateral line has always been pure bright white.

He is full of surprises for sure!

That is a beautiful male, his colors just go WOW!!!

How hard was it to get him to hold still while you painted him? He is so pretty he does look painted. But only Mother Nature can paint like that.

fwiw, this is a good shot from Des when i bought him. he was "an interesting mess with possibilities", imo.
