Rose Chafer Larvae

Has anyone on here had any experience with rose chafer larvae as a feeder? I bought a box of them today out of curiosity and I'll offer my little Ziggy one tomorrow and see how they go down. A guy at the schop where I bought them said he feeds them to the panthers they have there at the shop, and I have witnessed them wolf the little buggers down. Offered one to Ziggy when I got in from the shop but he wasn't in the mood, but damn those larvae have one hell of a pinch on them!

The beetles might have a nice crunch to them. Variety is good, but l don't think the larvae (subterranean) and chameleons would ever meet in the wild. A digging female might come acoss beatle grub. But have egg laying more on her mind. I have fed Cotinis mutabilis in beetle stage to my parson's which look similar in larval stage.
