Hey Casper, it has been a while since I have had Dilepis but I seem to remember that the dark body with bright yekkow spots is nonreceptive colour.

Good luck next time...

PS How do you know it is dilepis roperi?

I would say gravid also. The paler color she showed before with the spotting is receptive coloration.

The criteria from witsch i derived my teory, that this is Chamaeleo roperi (no longer Ch.delipis roperi )

1 - Small occipital lobes (not as small as quilensis)
2 - no tharsal spur on the male
3 - relatively small size of the adults
4 - The country of origance was "Farmed in Kenya" (but they was sold as gracilis)

Any better guesses ???
