Rex (rescued Oustalet's cham) has been on medication for 3 fungi and bacterial staff infections for almost 2 months. Here's an update on his progress:)

Thank you for posting the video and the update on Rex. I have often thought of you and him. I'm so glad that he's hanging in there. Hopefully he will be able to get off the meds and get back to his old self soon. I still have my fingers crossed for him. You have been a wonderful care giver and I'm hoping that everything goes well at the vets.

Poor guy! I applaud all your hard work, I didn't see the before but just him healing from exposed bone and necrotic skin is awesome. :)

Thanks guys:)

When I go to the vet I'll get on here and let you know how it went. Thanks Jannb for keeping your fingers crossed!

So I just got back from the vet's office and......he can come off the meds!!!! Hooray!!!!!

Funny, she went to weigh him and I told her how he wasn't eating much on his own so I was feeding him the leftovers in his bowl at the end of the day, so he might have lost weight. Ha Ha, he actually gained weight! She said she has never heard of any reptile being force fed that gains weight instead of losing weight! LOL!

happy you're putting all u can into him. :)

is he bigger than most Parsons? not just talking about length.. girth wise too..hes HUGGE

Thanks:)

I'm not sure. What's normal weight for a Parsons? Rex is a few grams shy of 500. He is also a little over 2 ft long. He 's the biggest cham I've ever seen, lol!

WOW............this is awesome :) i'm so happy he is on the mend, i know how hard it can be to watch them go through so much...........so impressive how much you care for him, and have done to help him heal. i will continue to follow Rex's story!!!!!!!
