so i am thinking about switching to all 3 supplements in one(rpashy calcium plus) for my adult vield, my two 13 month old jacksons and my 9 new born jacksons chameleons but i want to make sure how excacly to feed them since i have two differant kinds of chams. can anybody tell me how much i should feed my veiled and my jacksons(babies and 13 month old ones) with repashy ca +. also where can i buy this except for odering it online? is there a specific one i have to buy for chams?

For jacksons, a lot of people are using it on one feeder, once a week, and having good success.

I over supplemented mine on it a while back, so I would strongly advise only using it the once a week.

The jackson babies, I am unsure, but they may be even more sensitive to it.

The vieled, from what I understand, can have it every day.

I use it for my panther almost every day.

I have him outside a lot, so I use plain calcium sometimes.

I also think a day here and there of no supplementing is a good thing.

out side as in outside of there cage or out side of your house? so if i take out my vield to free range pretty ofen i should just use plain cacium?

I mean outside, in the real sun.

When ingested, calcium goes to the bloodstream.
To move the calcium out of the bloodstream, and into a usable area(bones) D3 is needed. It facilitates this transfer.

The D3 that is in supplement powders can be ODed on.

D3 from the sun, and UVB bulbs, cannot be over done.

If you give D3 to a chameleon, and place it outside, it will use the supplemented D3, when that runs out, it will pull from the sun.
Or it uses them at the same time until the supplemented D3 runs out, not really sure.
At any rate, since they do not need supplemented D3 when they are outside, I do not give it to them, as I would rather them pull it from the sun.

Outside means in the natural sunlight. A chameleon mostly indoors will need at least some extra d3.
The repashy is an everyday one for both panthers and Veileds, but if you have him in the natural sunlight lots you might want to cut down on the d3 by replacing it with plain calcium a couple of days a week.

well my chams are mostly inside i live in seattle and the nice hot weather has just started and i do take them outside for a bit, bot most of the year they are inside. doesnt repashy calcium plus have plain calcium and calcium with d3 and multivitamins all in one? so since they are in the sun only a few months a year how what how would you suggest i give them calcium plus? everyday for vields, and once a week for jacksons?

what about for baby jacksons? should i start giving them repashy calcium plus at this young of age? they are 5 days old

I would prefer to assess it on a weekly basis.

Say the vield is outside,

0 days a week: RC+ on every feeder
1 day a week: RC+ on every feeder
2 days a week: RC+ only on inside days, plain cal on outside days
3 days a week: RC+ on inside days, plain cal on outside days
4 days a week: RC+ on inside days, plain cal on outside days
5 days a week: Plain cal all the time, a multivitamin .5 days a week(twice a month)

Any more days outside, and I would stick with plain cal all the time, a multivitamin .5 days a week(twice a month)

The jackson:
RC+ once a week, no matter what, plain calcium all other days.

Mind you this is only my OPINION, as there is no exact science to this layed out. If there is, it is beyond me, and most people, and would require regular blood tests, and so much trouble its ridiculous ect.

Supplementing has been referred to as being an art form, I agree with this.

My best advice is to read as much as possible on supplements, why they are used, and how they directly effect the animal, then make up your own mind, as no one can know your situation better than you. ;)

Reading through old posts, and blogs is good for this. As well as doing some googling on nutritional and vitamin science. Get some actual medical knowledge to base your decisions off of.

I would recommend looking for the posts of forum member: kinyonga
and reading the information she provides on the subject, that is who I have learned the most from.

Good luck ;)

what about for baby jacksons? should i start giving them repashy calcium plus at this young of age? they are 5 days old

I cannot say, I have no experience with babies that young, and would not feel comfortable guessing.

I will look around and see if I can find some input though.

Repashy calcium plus has the required calcium, D3, and "multivitamin" content that is needed for supplementing a panther/veiled chameleon when used (very lightly) on feeders, every day. That is what it is formulated for, that is my understanding anyhow.

So, yes ;)

panther/vield only? what about jacksons?

It is NOT formulated for daily use with jacksons. That is why I recommend using it only once a week for them, as this is working well for others.

Jacksons just do not need as much supplementing to stay healthy, and show adverse effects if too much is used(same as any other chameleon, just takes less to be "too much").

Its not that the supplement is bad for them, it just has to be used differently.

ok, do you know where i can purchase it? would peco have it? and is there differant kinds of repashy ca +? if so witch one is the one i need?

There is only one repashy calcium plus to my knowledge.

I have seen it for sale in shops, but not very often.

There are many places to buy it online, I am unsure if prices would be better from one place to the next, as shipping cost would be a factor.

Here is the repashy site though, from which you can order their products, specifically, I have linked to a page, with the product in question at the top:
