How old is she...it sounds like she is ceceptive. Normally gravid colors are dark black with red big red circles.

It sounds to me that she is just becoming receptive. Make sure you do not have a male in visible sight and that you don't overfeed her. Try to keep her to around 8 to 10 feeders a day. Basically you really don't want her to produce eggs until, I would say a year, some say 8 months, and it is possible at 6 months. So, the longer you wait till she breeds the longer she will live. They become sexually mature around 6 months so that is probably why her colors are starting to peachen up a bit. Also, I have found that virgins can stay receptive for many months, so don't rush into anything.

so even if she sees a male it could be a problem I have a male blue bar and he's about the same age she can't see him (her cage is covered on the side that faces his) but he knows she's there i keep finding sperm plugs stuck on the side of the cage next to hers (spirited little fella) hehe
i've been charting her eating and pooping habits as well as his I offer them both 10 3/4 in crickets a piece daily and a few wax worms or phonex worms for her ( her favorite) she sometimes eats all but 3 crix by the end of the day lately has been leaving 6 crix am i feeding her too much (she poops daily to every other day)

Thats probably about right...be easy with the wax worms, maybe a couple a week. They are very high in fat. The phoenix are ok...they are excellent source of calcium. You will also notice in the next few months...probably 8 months to a year their eating will greatly slow down as they reach their full size, don't be alarmed unless they start losing a great deal of weight.

Yes I do...I weigh mine about every 2 weeks. I use a digital postal scale, it seems pretty accurate...it goes to the tenth of a gram. You can get one at Wal-mart.
