rate this uv brand

At this moment I have a repti sun 5.0 but need to change it in about a week but the only one I have is the one that came with the fixture which is a zilla slimeline tropical 25 uv, will this be o.k for a couple of week till I get another 5.0

I personally would never use a Zilla. I have read on here where chameleons had eye problems with them. How old is your Reptisun?

It come up on the 6 month mark in a week. By the way just got the care package any pointers

I would just use the Reptisun a couple more weeks.

Feed the hornworms.

Arcadia bulbs aren't a problem with chameleons eyes am I correct?

Is your repti sun 5.0 a T8 or T5? I was told by LLL tht their T5's only need to be changed every 10 months.

don't reptisuns last a full year though? I use repti glow which is every 6 months, some reason I can't get hold of reptisuns in any pet stores around me.

If you want to spend the money the new zoomed reptisun Led Uvb combo fixture is amazing. Just got mine and it lights my cage right up. I can definitely tell it has enhanced the colors in my panther chameleon.

What's a slimeline? Sounds icky.

I doubt a Reptisun will last a year. I haven't used the newest T bulbs so don't know how long they actually produce the correct UV compared to the classic linear tube lights though. I'd rather be conservative. I use double tube fixtures and rotate the bulbs...a "6-month used" one along with a "new" one. I have never had a health issue due to lighting.
