I would like to stay away from ordering online due to shipping so I'm at a pet store now
Looking at calcium for my Cham... The only two I see is flukers WITH D3 which is what I'm getting rid of and calcium:phosphorus 2:1... Is that an okay duster??? I can't seem to find just plain calcium ANYWHERE! Senior help requested :)

Sorry im not a senior, but.... Petsmart/Petco doesnt have just plain calcium. Which is what is needed more offten than D3 calcium. But you need D3 too. I use/recommend Rep-cal brand. I use their D3 and plain calcium. And I use their herptivite. And I use Miner-all outdoor formula.

Hope this helps:)

Scratch that... Even the 2:1 version has 100000 IU/lb of D3... Guess it's online for me... I hate pet stores /:

Yep. Reading lables means alot. You will need a D3 and a plain calcium anyway. So you just need to decide what brand you want to go with.

Thats what I use. I get mine at Reptiles show. It saves on shipping. But you may need yours now. The next show is not till july. So its still a ways away. But you can stock up at the shows.

Yea I'll be at lodestar picking up tons of things but yea I need it now /: guess I'll be overnighting it

Well that is the nice thing about shipping. If you want it now and got the money. You can have anything the next day.

Ratio wise, you're able to dust with that daily vs the 1-2 times monthly you dust with RepCal with D3.
You can't blame the pet stores here.
You wouldn't be over-supplementing by dusting with that daily. Daily with RepCal would be way too high though.

This forum roughly tells people to dust with 600IU/Kg per month.
The Flukers will give you that with 5 dustings a week with D3.

Chams produce D3 naturally from the sun, our UV lights aren't anywhere near as powerful as the sun is which is why we help with supplementation.

There are reasons companies produce what they do, they're not just randomly guessing about their products.

Are you sure there aren't ANY reptiles stores around your area? You should look up the stores online and call instead of going personally (maybe you already did this). Also ask around and you might get lucky finding a good reptile store whith the stuff you need. :D
