Questions about plants for the little guy.

Anoectochilus albolineatus (one species of jeweled orchid, a small one at that)
Goodyera pusilla (another small species of jeweled orchid)

Now, I've found tons of lists of safe plants, and they all point to the same things. I've also found many lists of toxic plants, which also point to the same things. I've yet to see a list that even mentions an orchid. Now, I plan to buy a Rieppeleon Brevicaudatus, and I understand I need a small (as in 10-gallon) enclosure or the little guy will freak out. I figured a 12"x12"x18" would be the equivalent, and that giving him a few things to climb on like small vines that have been allowed to creep up a nice gnarled piece of driftwood would help any need to climb. Catch is, all of the ground cover I've been able to find just plain sucks - the leaves aren't broad and therefore apparently won't hold any water, it would look like a complete mess, and I want the broad leaves while being unobtrusive so if I DO need to find him in his tank, I won't have to play hell trying to pull him out of a netted mess. I understand that this species is ground dwelling; the climbing element is only for when it DOES want to, and I'm also building a small filtered water element with waterfall to help encourage natural drinking/defecation and to just plain help humidify the enclosure. I'm looking for a couple of not-so-bushy types of SMALL plants so it will have more natural hiding places without clogging up the place and - again - to give him a nice broad leaf to lick when I mist it.

That is the webpage for the latter of those two orchids I listed. I don't care what is already listed as safe and common, I don't care about common. I care about is either of THESE plants I listed safe? If not, and if anyone knows of any small plants I could use that meet my personal criteria, I'd happily appreciate a point in the right direction.
