Question on female Veiled.

So i have two questions about female veileds. How big to they grow? Are they like panthers and will stay moderatly smaller than a male veiled?

My second question is can i keep her in a 24(h)x24(L)x12(w)? I have her in a 16x16x30 at the moment but i dont have any room at all for a laying bin in there and im going to need to add one in very soon as she is nearing 5 months. the 24x12 would give me a good amount of room for a laying bin but is it tall enough?

Just thought id add a pic of her :)

Color me confused...how would going to a smaller cage give you more room for a laying bin? Unless, your 30 is width....

If that's the case, then I think 24 inches is a bit short for a female. I think you want at least 36 inches in height to allow for the laying bin.

I'm sure others will chime in with better thoughts.

soryr lol its 24 inches tall, 24 inches side to side, and 12 front to back. I know its shorter but in the 16x16 i dont have room for a plant and a laying bin. the laying bin would have to be very small :/. the only reason i ask is due to the face that i dont exactally have 120 bucks to dish out for a bigger cage atm so i thought that an extra cage i have could be used

Okay, I think 24 inches is short for a female of an egg bearing species (like Veiled). You need about 12 inches for a laying bin...I think you want at least 24 inches of climbable space above the laying bing.

well i read in your last post in another threat to make her whole bottom a laying bin, but since its a screen cage that would be next to impossible with there only being abou6 6 inches underneath the door :\

You have a couple options.
Re-pot your plant so that you can fit in a bigger laying bin.
Find a slightly smaller bin to put in the cage.
Use the 24x12x24 as her laying enclosure, then transfer her back to the 16x16x30 when she's done.

Those would be my choices at least.

I would just go ahead and get her a larger cage. She going to need one anyway. Personally I would recommend a 48 inch high but I know allot of people keep them in a 36 high.

She is going to get much larger than an adult female panther but not as large as an adult male veiled.

hmm well, i think i might just build her an enclosure. It will probably be cheaper than buying one. I just wasnt sure how large she would get as the panther i just had was very small in size for a panther who was a year and a half old.
