I have bought many ooths. Every single time they hatch out about a 100 or so. So when i buy, i like to get 3 or more ooths.....This ooth exploded! Pic doesnt show whats gowing on...They are literally pouring out of the casing like a river. Was not expecting this. If all three do this im in trouble!

IMHO - you might want to hang the egg cases up, or glue to top of the cups lid. Many of those mantis pictured are going to have a hard time getting their bodies to harden up right.

By hanging the ooth, it allows the mantids to hang from a single tread, and plump up and open before their bodies harden up.

I too want to know how fast they grow, and how to care for them. They are neat animals and would be a good change-up in a chams diet.

They need decent humidity and lots of long limbs, vines to molt. keep that in mind for a cage. they eat fruit flies at this stage. you dont have to separate at this stage but if you can it would be a great idea to have a few set ups to split this many. it really depends on cage size. I have never bred or raised to adults as they are solely feeders.

fresh new wings drying up

Very neat!
