Awesome Kevin! You must be stoked!... Man if I only had the space for more... One of little guys would be my next buy. Can't wait to see him grow up! Where is he from?

Yeah, nobody can say that "I'm unreasonable"
I KNEW that the person I sold him too was going to take REALLY good care of him.
vs some richer, gold encrusted old lady that was going to depend on her maids to feed and tend that "pet".
It's OK. I have another that looks EVEN BETTER for the breeding program (get ready!)
I thought $750 was a steal.
But whatever it was worth the peace of mind for 50 bucks less to know he's going to be living a really nice life.

and YES the plants are going to be online soon
Let me know how you like them (pm me) I need customer comments!
those things ARE going to take off!~

Too bad that I missed some people there at the show!
I thought the cowboy hat was going to be a giveaway :P

Summer12, Dave and all the others it was great meeting you!
Sorry I was so busy I couldn't sit down with everyone!

Learned some lessons as to what to change and improve:
*CORNER BOOTH is a MUST...
*Bigger banners
*Request extra cables to power all of your ballast lighting
*more than 2 helpers required, lots of cheaper item, LOTS more sleep before the opening day, securing kent

AND Watching out for people trying to cut into your cages (attempted theft first day!!!!)

THAT REALLY UPSET ME... someone cutting into my new 80 buck cages to steal my 3 month olds!~
if the screen hadn't been made of wire they might have been able to get away with it.
hummmm,.... should I take that as a complement or insult?
"I don't have the cash available... but I want his animals so bad that I'm willing to steal?"
hummmm?

I'm always trying to put the positive spin on things
but that doesn't stop wanting me from stomping on their faces if I would have seen them.

What a great weekend, I'm so still trying to recover. The show was busy busy busy. I talked to Ed and Liddy Kammer quite a bit yesterday and may have convinced them to stop by the forums here to say hi every once in a while. They were very appreciative of all the support and positive things people here say about them. Also got to hang out with my oldest cham-friend who's still into it, Linda Davison of Sticky Tongue Farms. She had another booth of really cool carvings, wall hangings, etc from Indonesia that I wish I could've afforded on top of everything else. Bought some crickets and house flies for my critters that ended up going to Vegas instead of my house I also took my showcase GTP to be probed again. Although I was really hoping the original probing was a mistake, I do indeed have what may very well be the largest male GTP EVER (avg 7-800 grams, my big boy pushes 2000 grams ). Also, thanks to Sara270 for the dubias!

Ok, on to the pics. Once I recharge the camera batteries I'll take pics of the 3 little Meller's babies that came home with me too.

The booth before the show opened Saturday morning:

Here's a sequence of photos from half an hour after the show opened, starting with a pic from the front door and then some pics of the line to buy tickets:

Best pic of the weekend? "East siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide"

Yeah... here it is.
We found it on saturday at the end of the day.

you can tell that it had some force applied with something like a car key or small knife
it's about 3" across in broken wire moving down to the right.
They were cutting in a arc to create a hole w/ a flap large enough to put a hand through
if the screen would have been nylon vs wire they would have kept on going
and been able to grab a few of the young sambavas off the plant.
while we were distracted by his friends or other customers.

You know, I'm a straight up guy, I play straight and honest with people.
But if you steal from me ... better hope the security guys grab me.

I'm not the only one. one of the crested gecko vendors was also hit by some "lady".
they said she was a good one. She knew how to confuse people and rip off stuff while
handing over confusing amounts of money, then even trying to return some switched animals later.
"sigh" too bad that there's low life's out there that try to screw other people.

Wow... Talk about lame! I would have gotten a running start and tackled someone if I saw that happening. Not sure if it is already common practice... But all you vendors know what kind of cages to use at the shows from now on.
