As we all know one of the most important think of keeping our chams is the dusting . Everyone always need help with dusting schedule , and why dont we all post the age of out cham , the type of cham u have , how many times do you take him outside for some sun and your dusting schedule . Im very sure this will help a lot of people on the forums including myself .

I have one year old Veiled cham that i had him for little over 2.5 months, i take him under the sun maybe once a month and my dusting schedule is

Rep-Cal calcium wo/d3 every other day
Rep-Cal calcium w/d3 once a month
Rep-Cal HERPTIVITE Multivitamin once a month
and every time i dust , i dust about 5-7 crix .
Please if anyone thinks my dusting is too much or too little let me know .

and here is a picture that i took 2 days ago

My general supplementation schedule and supplemention philosophy is listed here:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/65-supplements.html

I also keep a daily record of what is eaten, and whether or not it is dusted with anything, here:
https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/food-diary/

I do not believe supplmentation can be a one-size-fits-all process, but rather that every situation can be different. Factors to consider include:
Age, Gendre and type (species) of chameleon
Brand of supplements being used
Whether there is UVB lighting and type
How often is the chameleon is outside, having access to natural sunlight
What types of insects/feeders are being eaten
What is being used as a Gutload
Temperature range the chameleon has access to

I've been using d3 twice a month ever since I got my chams 3 years and 2 years. They go outside a couple hours late evenings about 5 or 6 days a week, too.

wow u have very lucky chams to go outside for that much . its just im always busy with my restaurant stuff , thats why dont have much time to take him out .i only see by boy maybe about an hour a day in the morning :( can i ask how many crix and other stuff do you feed to you adult veiled cham a day ?

Once Luie was around 10 months old I went to 6 to 8 feeders (depending on the size) everyother day and then after about two years old I went to 5 or 6 feeders 3 times a week. Both my guys also like fruits and veggies and one day a week they have small slivers of collard greens, apple, strawberry, blueberry, pear or banana.

All my guys and dolls have slowed down on their consumption with the exception of the pygs and the beardie. Since both my females are gravid, I have been giving them D3 once a week. Mini-Bit doesn't get out for natural light but Chi-Chi does about once a week -- she gets to hide in the tree while I play "roof-ball" with the dog. Mini-Bit, well she would just get lost or carried off by a hungry insect.
