plant bulb necessary??

just got a ficus for my chameleon and he really loves it. the only thing is that it looks like it's losing its springiness. it's wilting a tiny bit. I was just wondering if I really need a plant bulb. why are they labeled indoor plants if they die indoors...

firstly, they don't like change. So its totally normal for it to shed some leaves and look unhappy for a few weeks. It will then adjust to its new home. You do not need a plant light - mine did okay with just the light from the heat lamp and the uvb tube. however, having a plant light on for a couple hours a day has made it go from fine to great.
