Ok, so i bought a Nikon D40 and every single picture I take is to large to post on a thread.
I guess my pictures are 1.2MB and all it allows is 250KB
They are fine on my gallery, but arent working on my thread.
How do i get this to work. I have Windows Vista.
Is there any program I can use?
I'm not the smartest when it comes to computers so details please.lol

Do you have photoshop? You can usually re-save the pictures in a different format and even compress them? Try a .jpg or even a tiff.

Try photoshop, it has a built-in compression mode. I don't know much about Visa personally. As a gamer and PC guy it's an OS I would never ever run. But that discussion is for a different forum.

If you want to decrease your image file size you will need software. I use photoshop for stuff like that, but it's not free. I have not used it in many years, but a free option you may want to try http://irfanview.com

Another option is to use your gallery or a service like photobucket. There is some basic info in the sticky: How to post photos and video
