Thanks everyone. We got a canon EOS Rebel T3i

I am determined to learn how to use it and get great pics. Watching videos and reading up on the settings. The boys will hate me in no time. ;)

Awesome! I have a Nikon and still dont know all of the settings, and its been 6 months. I guess its time to read as well... LOL Good luck with it your pics are turning out great already.

If you aren't shooting Auto, toy around with your ISO settings and aperture, as well as shutter speed. When shooting indoors with low light (and outdoors with low light) you want to use a high ISO setting. So usually you use a 100-200 ISO setting in sunlight, but indoors on a cloudy day I like to use an ISO setting of 800-1000.
Manual focussing will always give you a more crisply focussed photo.
Just play around with your camera, have fun with it! You'll learn quickly the more you use it :D

Yeah I was shooting in manual mode. I did notice that I needed to manual focus when I was close up as the auto focus just didnt get it right. I have a lot of learning to do with all of the settings, but should be able to get some really nice shots once I get the hang of it.

Maybe even place in a photo contest once month LOL ;)

Awesome chams and pics!
If this pic posts right I found it helpful when learning manual shooting. Good luck with your new camera :)

Nice pics :) I had a T3i too, but decided to trade it in for a 50D.
I still have a bunch of pics I took with it.
Once you get it out of auto mode, the camera really shines :)

Yeah I cant wait to really get the hang of it and take awesome photos.

Great photos Rachelle! I love your boys! :)

Thanks Lauren! I just love these boys too. Although poor Georgie worries me with his terrible edema. We have run so many tests and tried so many things and nothing helps.
