Yea, I know, Im nuts. 3 large dogs but I couldnt help it! Now comes the dilemma, when the baby is full grown, how do I take thema ll places!? LOL! Three kids, Three dogs, one SUV, and lots of traveling. Hmmmm.

L to R: Twiggy (Dane), Thirza (pron. Terza, St Bernard), and Toki (Dane). Yay for big dogs!!

We took Toki with us to the park yesterday. Twiggy isnt weird around kids she doesnt know and Thirza would have sweated to death..but the kids Loved seeing Toki and were amazed by him. Even the adults were wanting to pet him. He's such a good dog! I love them so much!!

YAY for big dogs, indeed!! We also do greyhound rescue and we are currently at 2..... down from 6!! Try having 6!! Needless to say, with the dogs, a gazillion reptiles and kids (I only have 1 actual kid, but I consider my husband a kid also ) it is never dull in our home. I will try to rustle up some pics of the dogs.....

This is my German shepherd, Kemper. He was a rescue who I got at 9 weeks old... he had been dumped into a junkyard in BFE with his sister at 4 weeks old. He is the best freaking dog in the world and I found out yesterday that I may have to put him down in the next couple of years because of severe hip dysplasia that is already showing at two and a half years old, despite getting glucosamine, chondroitin, msm, and hylauronic acid supplements since puppyhood. I expected that he may have some genetic issues since he was definitely the result of some horribly misguided backyard breeding (who dumps puppies?!), but I didn't know it would be this bad.

I thought I should share in case it persuades anyone here to NOT breed their dog(s) without showing them for conformation, working them for their intended usage, and getting the proper genetic testing done and certification such as hips, eyes, and elbows.

My dog is the best dog in the world and it is the worst thing to see him in pain just because of how his hips are formed.

And here is Finnochio, aka Finn, a bun we adopted from the Oregon Humane Society a few months ago. He was found running feral under a house in the suburbs. He has calmed down a ton since we got him; he was completely feral at first. He loves to binky around the living room and his favorite foods are dandelion and fennel.
