panther chameleon eye problems?

My panther chameleon just came to me in the mail i think he got banged around good. his one eye when he sleeps stays open but a white lid covers his pupil. Any ideas?

Have you talked to the CO/person you got him from? That might be a problem he had before he got to you. I would contact where you bought him as soon as you can. Good Luck.

My veiled has the same thing as yours. To make sure, does he like to rub his eye on things a lot?

no he doesn't

I suggest seeing a vet. Something could be stuck in the eye. Another thing to try is to give him a thirty minute shower and it might come out or the eye will be cleaned. I also gently rub his eye with a cue tip.
