panacur

I have administered my own Panacur in the past and I would NEVER do that to a gravid female...

I'm guessing your getting one of the gravid WC Panthers that have been coming in to the country?

One from Lost Lake perhaps?

I don't treat them out of paranoia but my vet who has worked with reptiles for over 40 years says it's no problem at all.

my doc said 75mg per 1 kg 1 time repeat in 2 weeks.( but i'm not sure if its ok to give panacur to a gravid female)
and that seems to be middle of the road from ChromaChameleons website info (nice site thanks)

Everytime I've ever done it, I've had bad results. But that could be because the cham was obviously sick to start with, thus the need for panacur. The problem that I see is that the concentration appropriate for adults might not be the concentration appropriate for the neonates. To make matters worse, at least in mammals, some chemicals are preferentially delivered to the fetus. Eggs are parasites, and I just won't do it unless I really thought I was going to lose the mother.

The female has worms but she is eating good so Im going to wait untill she recovers from laying. After all they have parasites in the wild so I think she will be fine as long as she is eating well.
Thanks for everyones input
