sO I having searching with no so much luck, write this question in a gecko forum with no answer and since I have being seing people posting stuff about dogs and what not in the other pets section here I am.

Does anyone know how often and how much D3 shoud be given to flying geckos hatchlings? and adults for that matther? I figured that it would be the same with uroplatus as with P kuhli so if anyone has raise them please share some light on this:confused:

The breeder I bought my Uroplatus sikorae from, recommended using Repashy plus every other feeding. I alternate with stickytongue farm's plain calcium, though. I use a Reptisun 5.0 on their enclosure, and feed a few snails to the females as well. So far I haven't had any issues with doing it that way.

thank you the plain calcium doesn´t have d3 but the repashy does it have any d3 or other thing than calcium?

The repashy plus has calcium, vitamin D, vitamin A and vitamin E in it. It's an "all in one powder." That's why I decided to alternate between the plain and the repashy, even though the breeder uses the repashy every other feeding.

so that would make D3 and other vitamins once a week? right? thank you man this has being driving me carzy for some years now.

I hear you should not give any vitamins suplementations( powder and such) before they are 3 months old, have you hear any of that? what are your toughts about it?

I feed my trio every other day, and dust every other feeding, switching between the repashy and the plain calcium. I feel comfortable with it, and haven't had any issues.

I do supplement my hatchlings, because they're growing so quickly I'd worry they wouldn't be getting the calcium and D3 they need. I feed the hatchlings every day, and supplement them similar to the adults.

No issues so far, but these are my first group of hatchlings. I believe the first pair hatched in May. I'd have to go look at the hatchling card on their tanks for the exact date. I have 6 hatchlings, and have 15 more eggs incubating. :)

I've been using lower temps for longer incubation times, and getting nice strong hatchlings. I don't have UVB on the hatchlings, because I haven't figured out a good way to put UVB lighting on their grow out tanks. I just don't have the clearance to not have the bulb too close. I do use a reptisun 5.0 T5 on the parents tank, and see them all bask at times. The females more so than the male.

For hatchling tanks, I'm using rubbermaid all access storage containers with clear doors on the front, vents that I added in the rear and front and LED lights attached to the tops. They're fully planted with hydroton, screen, and soil. Then seeded with isopods and springtails.

So far, they're growing like crazy and look like mini copies of their parents. I loooove to watch them hunt. :)
