Oustalets or Panther?

I am gonna get my first cham in 2 months so i have time to decide but should i get a panther or an oustalets for a first time cham?

Depends on the space you have and what you want... More color - panther. Large size - Ousralets.

Both can be kept the same way but male oustalets get pretty large somtimes over 24 inches

I had an oustalets many years ago. While he may have not have had the cool colors of the paradalis, he was sure big and a lot of fun to watch. His name was Pie. Pie is famous now. He has been immortalized in the book, "Chameleons, The Care and Breeding." The mottled brown and white is neat too, in it's own way.

It has been my experience that the temps for oustalets is a bit different than the paradalis..I think cooler temps are tolorated..but check that out just to be sure. Knowledge of temps can help make your decision. You can get the one that better fits where you live.

I have a 2x2x4 cage already and i think that it is a good size for both but i may be wrong
