Our female hadn't taken a poo in a few days, after I changed took the substrate out -after reading it's useless and possibly a health hazard- and we were starting to get worried. After I posted about the problem I checked in on her again and there was a huge dump .

Except the new concern is, why does it have an orange clear coat on it? It was also strangely shiny (as in wet looking). Help!!!

It should be wet looking when it is fresh. Is the white part (pee/urates) orange or is there a good white part?
